Diploma evaluation process explained

Step 1 – Initial check of your application
The Information Centre for Diploma Evaluation (IcDW) checks whether your application can be processed and whether all required documents have been submitted.

This initial review takes place approximately 6 working weeks after you submit your application. Until then, your application is waiting for the initial check.

If documents are missing or scans are not clear enough, you will receive a request to submit additional documents.

After you submit additional documents, your application will again be waiting for the initial check. This check takes approximately 6 working weeks again.

Please make sure to check on our website which documents are required before submitting your application and ensure that all required documents are uploaded. This helps to prevent delays in processing your application.

Step 2 – Evaluation
Once your application contains sufficient documentation for evaluation, it is forwarded to a credential evaluator from the expertise centre.

From that moment, the evaluation phase starts and takes approximately 10 working weeks.

During the evaluation, additional documents or information may still be requested.
